OYA is offering a Job Rotation opportunity. The purpose of this position is to recruit, train and supervise volunteers/mentors at Oak Creek Youth Correctional Facility. The Volunteer Coordinator will meet on a regular basis with incarcerated youth, treatment teams, administration and the community to develop a list of services needed. This individual will maintain a diverse group of community based volunteers/mentors to meet the needs of the youth we supervise.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES . . . · Resolve/respond to personnel issues. · Develop, disseminate and provide new training for staff and volunteers. · Evaluate program and agency needs for volunteers. · Develop goals, set standards and write guidelines. · Provide quarterly reviews and evaluate day-to-day operations to assure procedures, programs, policies and work schedules are up to date, functional and comply with established policies and procedures. · Develops partnerships with other departments and agencies to ensure treatment programs are provided to youth while addressing public safety needs. · Coordinating religious activities and minority service delivery. · Create community partnerships that will directly enhance the services of OYA. · Officer of the Day duties.
JOB ROTATION CONDITIONS . . . · This rotation is with the Oak Creek Youth Correctional Facility. Located in Albany. · This is projected to be a 6 month job rotation and will begin as soon as possible. · Generally, relocation and per diem expenses will not be paid. · Work out of class compensation may be paid depending upon the qualifications of the selected employee. Generally, work out of class compensation is paid if the selected employee meets the minimum qualifications of the higher classification and can satisfactorily perform the full range of duties from the beginning of the rotation · The rotating employee will not change status and will remain in his/her classification and return to his/her position upon completion of the assignment. · The assignment may be terminated at any time.
