Employers Class Schedule and Information
Employer EDX training is offered simultaneously at the PERS Tigard headquarters computer lab and through the internet. Registration for all Employer EDX training is done exclusively online. Click the date link under either the Computer Lab or Internet section below to complete registration for your desired training date.
 
EDX Basic Concepts is recommended for those new to PERS reporting duties or with 6 months or less PERS reporting experience.
This course will review the roles of Web Administrator and Payroll Specialist within EDX. Regular and Demographics and Adjustment reports and their function will be covered. DTL1 Member Demographics and DTL2 Wage and Service records will be reviewed in depth, field by field. Hands-on lab sessions will demonstrate construction of both report and record types.

EDX Advanced Topics is recommended for those with PERS reporting experience.
A variety of reporting topics will be covered, including reporting Leave without Pay (LWOP), determination and reporting of USERRA-qualified military service, completion of Salary Breakdown (SBD) forms, changing member account contribution methods determination of "employee" status and Police and Fire Unit program participation. Membership eligibility rules and reporting retirees will also be reviewed.

Employer Actions Prior to Member Retirement is recommended for all employers.
Employer Actions Prior to Member Retirement outlines actions employers take just prior to a member's separation and PERS retirement. Outlines actions include those taken when an employee is hired to avoid future problems. Records to be submitted and employer forms that may be required are reviewed.
