EDX training is composed of three parts; all areas are covered between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on the day of training.
EDX Basics: A review of EDX reporting positions, EDX report types, and reporting frequencies. The EDX records, DTL1 and DTL2, are examined line-by-line. The concept of record adjustment and editing is reviewed.
Hands-on practice: Creating and editing reports, putting into practice concepts reviewed in EDX Basics.
EDX Reporting topics: A comprehensive review of member eligibility rules and reporting PERS retirees returing to work part-time is undertaken. The employer online statement and statement reconciliation are reviewed.
Registration for all classes will be online. An e-mailed registration confirmation and a reminder will be provided three days before the class. Instructions for registration can be found at this link: www.oregon.gov/PERS/EMP/docs/edx_instructions.pdf.
Please direct all registration questions/cancellations to: pers-employer.info.services@state.or.us. Your ESC account representative will not be able to help you with EDX class registration.
EDX training is presented at PERS' Tigard headquarters and broadcast simultaneously through iLinc, our Internet-based training link. EDX training is provided through iLinc for those employers unable to attend training in person at PERS' headquarters. A workstation with Internet access is required for Internet-based EDX training, and a telephone with hands-free speakerphone capability is recommended.
