A
membership camping contract is an agreement offered or sold in Oregon that gives the buyer the right to use campgrounds and facilities of a Membership Camping Operator for more than 30 days.
The Oregon Real Estate Agency regulates and registers the following:
-
Membership Camping Operator: A business that sells membership camping contracts for camping or outdoor recreation, including the use of camping sites primarily by purchasers. This excludes tax exempt entities under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS.
-
Membership Camping Contract Salesperson: A person who offers to sell or sells membership camping contracts through direct sales to prospective purchasers. It
does not include a campground manager who is authorized in writing to act on behalf of a membership camping operator.
-
Membership Camping Contract Broker: A business who resells a membership camping contract to a new purchaser on behalf of the prior purchaser. This person is not a Membership Camping Operator or its agents.
