Open Enrollment for 2010 benefits closed at midnight, Oct. 31. This was a mandatory medical open enrollment for PEBB-eligible employees. Here’s what to expect going forward.
If You Enrolled During Open enrollment
Look for a new ID card in the mail if you enrolled in a new health plan.
Check your benefit record at any time.
§ Log in at https://pebb.benefits.oregon.gov/members.
§ Select “My Benefit Statement” on the left.
§ Print a copy for your records.
Check with Standard or UnumProvident on approval of your medical history if you changed your selection of optional benefits.
Review details about your health plan on the plan’s Web site.
If You Didn’t Enroll During Open Enrollment
Beginning Jan. 1, 2010
§ You will be enrolled in the employee-only tier of PEBB’s Statewide Plan.
§ Your dependents, spouse or domestic partner will not be covered.
§ Your dependents in the 19-to-24 age range will not be eligible.
Before Jan. 1, 2010
§ Health plans will send ID cards to new members.
§ You will be able to apply to remedy pending loss of coverage for eligible dependents (form available Nov. 15).
§ Dependents slated to lose coverage will get a notice on how to continue coverage.
If You Have a Life or Family Change after Open Enrollment
See Appendix A of the Summary Plan Description to learn what benefit changes you can make with a midyear change.
Submit a Midyear Change form to your agency.
The benefit change goes into effect no earlier than the month after your agency receives the form.
