The Department of Veterans Affairs partnered with the First Army at Camp Shelby, Miss., to launch a streamlined version of its online application for VA health benefits (VA Form 1010EZ) for Servicemembers returning from deployment. VA will introduce it at demobilization sites nationwide by early spring 2012.

The support line's dedicated staff has helped more than 25,000 Veterans, family members and Caregivers connect to resources and receive access to services they have earned.

Home loans guaranteed by the Department of Veterans Affairs continue to have the lowest serious delinquency and foreclosure rates in the mortgage industry. Veterans have also taken advantage of their home loan benefit in record numbers, as VA loan originations reached their highest total in eight years.

Due to the overwhelming popularity of the Yellow Ribbon Program, VA has decided to extend the deadline for Yellow Ribbon Program agreements for the 2010 - 2011 academic year. The original deadline was May 21, 2010, but VA has extended it to July 23, 2010. Schools who otherwise sent their agreement late or missed the deadline now have an opportunity to participate in the Yellow Ribbon program.
All fields must be properly filled out and the form must be signed by an official that has the authority to enter into agreements for the school. Please send questions or concerns to the Yellow Ribbon Program Management Team. Completed forms must be received by VA no later than July 23, 1010.

Initial Yellow Ribbon Information is now posted for the 2010 - 2011 school year. The list is not final and will be updated periodically as additional information is received. The final listing of schools participating in the Yellow Ribbon Program will be posted approximately June 1, 2010.
