The Department of Veterans Affairs partnered with the First Army at Camp Shelby, Miss., to launch a streamlined version of its online application for VA health benefits (VA Form 1010EZ) for Servicemembers returning from deployment. VA will introduce it at demobilization sites nationwide by early spring 2012.

Due to the overwhelming popularity of the Yellow Ribbon Program, VA has decided to extend the deadline for Yellow Ribbon Program agreements for the 2010 - 2011 academic year. The original deadline was May 21, 2010, but VA has extended it to July 23, 2010. Schools who otherwise sent their agreement late or missed the deadline now have an opportunity to participate in the Yellow Ribbon program.
All fields must be properly filled out and the form must be signed by an official that has the authority to enter into agreements for the school. Please send questions or concerns to the Yellow Ribbon Program Management Team. Completed forms must be received by VA no later than July 23, 1010.
