Veterans can proudly display their pride in their service in many way including hats, jackets, banners and much more.
Now veterans have another way to display their pride… on their cars. The Oregon Department of Veterans’ has embarked on a partnership with the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to provide new graphic license plates for veterans.
These new plates offer an opportunity for veterans to proudly display their branch of service, or specific military honors earned while serving. These graphic plates display the American flag, the word “Veterans,” and any one of many possible icons including service medal and branches of service.
The new graphic plates are not available in custom (vanity or personalized) configurations. Veterans interested in purchasing a plate need to show their service.
Veteran recognition plates may be issued to qualifying veterans with proof of military service in the form of a DD-214 or DD-215. Visit the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles to download applications and to get more qualifying details.
