Agency Administrative Rules

HB 2370, which passed during the 2013 legislative session, requires all agencies that maintain a website or Web page that displays the agency’s rules or information relating to the agency’s rules, must also display links to those web pages and web sites on the Oregon Transparency website. To initially facilitate the gathering of these links, the Department of Administrative Services provided all agencies with access to an electronic form, for submission of their informational links.

This data was then aggregated in a data.oregon.gov dataset. Clicking on the link below will open a new window and redirect you to this data set on the data.oregon.gov web site.

Additional Guidelines and Information

Viewing the data set through data.oregon.gov, the user will be able to take advantage of multiple tools to download, visualize, create graphs, create maps, filter data.

These tools are available by clicking on the tabs located on the right just above the column headers.  For example, the expenditures data can be downloaded in a variety of formats including CSV, JSON, PDF, XLX, and XML to name a few. To download the data select "Export" (blue tab) and then select the "Format" from the available formats.  To visualize data select “Visualize” (green tab).  The user can also create maps, graphs, and filtered views, and then embed those views on other websites. If the data changes in the master dataset, the embedded views will automatically be updated.

Data.oregon.gov is powered by the Socrata platform. You can find many good resources on how to use the platform to socialize data by visiting the Socrata Knowledge Base and Community Forums.
