Local Government Transparency

Local Government and Special Government Bodies

HB 2370 which passed during the 2013 Legislative session requires the Department of Administrative Services (DAS) to create a new page on the Transparency website. This page will provide links to websites established by local government (as defined in ORS 174.116) and; Special government bodies (as defined in ORS 174.117) for the purpose of providing transparency in the revenues, expenditures and budgets of the public bodies. DAS will include additional links on this webpage, upon receiving a request from a public body. The Transparency Oregon Advisory Commission may also recommend links to include on this webpage

County Lottery Funds - Expenditure Report

The Oregon Legislature passed House Bill 3188 during the 2011 Legislative Session. This Bill requires that each of the 36 Oregon Counties report on a variety of expenditure information, related to the use of Lottery Funds for the purpose of economic development. In previous years, a text based PDF styled report was posted, but was not machine readable for ease of use.

A composite report that includes data and information from all 36 Counties for 2015 and 2016 is provide below. The List View option is best for browsing the data, and the Table View option is machine readable, and best for downloading the data.

How to Access the Data: Click on either of the report links above, and a new window will open and redirect you to a data.oregon.gov dataset. You will be able to use a wide range of tools to visualize, filter, create graphs, or download the data.
