  • Oregon’s Insurance Division

Insurance literacy is financial literacy. There is perhaps no other consumer product that we spend so much money on, yet spend so little time thinking about than insurance. Because of that, we see examples every day of people getting into financial trouble because they didn’t know what they were buying. To help us become informed shoppers of insurance, the Oregon Insurance Commissioner’s Office has created online tools for students, teachers, and parents to assist in understanding insurance. In addition to a wide variety of Consumer Guides and Tip Sheets, we have games and actives that make learning fun and easy. We are also willing to come to your classroom or organization and talk about the wide world of insurance. Remember, if you have insurance problems, “Let us help. We speak Insurance.”
