Why the Civil Rights Exam may not be needed for your first Oregon License:

If you already have a full license from another state AND are applying for one of the following Oregon licenses, you do NOT need to have taken the civil rights exam before you receive your first Oregon license:

  • Initial Teaching
  • Transitional Administrator
  • Transitional Superintendent
  • Transitional School Counselor
  • Transitional School Psychologist

However, you will need to complete the exam by the date you apply for your second license.
