CCB has initiated the rulemaking process for permanent rules relating to a pilot pre-license project.
CCB proposes a three-year pilot project to offer an alternative form of
pre-license training and testing. The goal is to produce new contractors
better equipped to run their own businesses and, specifically, to improve
licensure and regulatory understanding among limited English-speaking
The CCB has partnered with the Clackamas Community College Small
Business Development Center (SBDC) to offer this training. The class must cover
the same subjects required in the current pre-license training. However,
the SBDC will offer the courses in a traditional classroom (or virtual
classroom) setting that allows for interaction and feedback.
