Child Safety Plan

""When Child Welfare supervisors are hired they go to several trainings, including a six week basic training.  Feedback shows that these trainings help supervisors learn the different parts of their job as managers, but does not prepare supervisors for the quality clinical supervision needed by caseworkers in the field. In addition, there are no ongoing professional development or training opportunities for supervisors after they complete this initial training. This project will change the supervisor training so that supervisors are ready to help caseworkers, children, and families. It will improve the basic “core” training and provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for supervisors.
