Child Safety Plan

At its core, the Child Welfare Project and Implementation Plan steering team is a governing device used to organize key project stakeholders and empower them to steer groups of projects to successful conclusion. Members of the current Child Welfare Project and Implementation Plan steering team, formally known as the Unified Child and Youth Safety Implementation Plan steering team, were selected based on their individual knowledge, skills and special area of expertise in child safety.

The role of the steering team is to deliberate, make decisions, advise, provide strategic oversight and to serve as the primary advocate for all the assigned child safety initiatives. The goal is for the team to help Oregon Department of Human Services move the dial on child safety.
