We use the Tax Payment (TXP) Banking convention on ACH credit addenda records to post combined payroll and estimated corporation tax payments. Review the table and field explanations below or read the ACH addenda examples for more information.

Min/Max Use: The minimum and maximum length of a particular element. For example, 1/10 indicates that this data element must be at least one character, but not more than ten characters.
 
TXP01 - Taxpayer Identification Number: Enter all nine digits of the Oregon Business Identification Number (BIN). Right justified, zero-filled. No dashes.
 
TXP02 - Tax Payment Type Code: Enter the code for the type of payment.  
If using a BIN for your Taxpayer Identification Number, select from the following:
  • 01101 - State Unemployment Tax, State Withholding Tax, and State Workers' Benefit Fund Assessment
  • 01102 - TriMet Transit Tax and Lane County Transit Payroll Tax
  • 01113 - Statewide Transit Tax
  • 20001 - Corporation Excise Tax
  • 20201 - Corporation Income Tax
  • 04901 - Emergency Communications Tax
  • 07301 - Tobacco Distributor's Tax
  • 07401 - State Lodging Tax
If using an FEIN for your Taxpayer Identification Number, select from the following:
  • 20002 - Corporation Excise Tax 20202 - Corporation Income Tax
  • 20202 - Corporation Income Tax
  • 04902 - Emergency Communications Tax
  • 07402 - State Lodging Tax
  • 04701 - Dealer Vehicle Use Tax
  • 04703 - Vehicle Privilege Tax
  • 04704 - Bicycle Excise Tax  ​​ 
​If using a License Number for your Taxpayer Identification Number, select 07303 - Tobacco Distributors Tax.

TXP03 - Tax Period End Date: Enter the tax period end date in YYMMDD format, don't enter the payment due date.  
  • Payment Type Codes 01101, 01102, 01113, 04701-04704, 04901, 04902, 07301, 07303 07401, and 07402, enter the quarter ending date.
  • Payment Type Codes 20001, 20002, 20201, and 20202, enter the calendar or fiscal year end date.​​

TXP04 - Amount Type: The amount type code for the first amount field.  
  • Tax Payment Type Code 01101, 01113, 04701-04704, 04901, 04902, 07301, 07303, 07401, and 07402, enter an S.
  • Tax Payment Type Code 01102, enter an L.
  • Tax Payment Type Codes 20001, 20002, 20201, and 20202, enter the quarter 1, 2, 3, or 4.

TXP05 - Tax Amount: Contains the first dollar amount. The two right most digits indicate cents by using an implied decimal point. The decimal point is not transmitted. For example, the amount $2,400.00 would appear as 240000. This number will always be positive. 
  • Payment Type Code 01101, enter the amount for State Unemployment Taxes. 
  • Payment Type Code 01102, enter the amount for TriMet Transit Taxes. 
  • Payment Type Code 01113, enter the amount for Statewide Transit Taxes followed by the terminator \ (backslash).
  • Payment Type Code 04701, enter the amount for Dealer Vehicle Use Taxes followed by the terminator \ (backslash). 
  • Payment Type Code 04702, enter the amount for Consumer Vehicle Use Taxes followed by the terminator \ (backslash).
  • Payment Type Code 04703, enter the amount for Vehicle Privilege Taxes followed by the terminator \ (backslash).
  • Payment Type Code 04704, enter the amount for Bicycle Use Taxes followed by the terminator \ (backslash).
  • Payment Type Code 20001 and 20002, enter the amount for Corporation Excise Taxes followed by the terminator \ (backslash). 
  • Payment Type Code 20201 and 20202, enter the amount for Corporation Income Taxes followed by the terminator \ (backslash). 
  • Payment Type Code 04901 and 04902, enter the amount for Emergency Communications Taxes followed by the terminator \ (backslash). 
  • Payment Type Code 07301 and 07303, enter the amount for Tobacco Distributor’s Taxes followed by the terminator \ (backslash). 
  • Payment Type Code 07401 and 07402, enter the amount for State Lodging Taxes followed by the terminator \ (backslash).
 
TXP06 - Amount Type: The amount type code for the second amount field.
  • For Tax Payment Type Code 01101, enter an S.
  • For Tax Payment Type Code 01102, enter an L.
  • For Tax Payment Type Codes 01103, 20001, 20002, 20201, 20202, 04701-04704, 04901, 04902, 07301, 07303, 07401, and 07402, not used.


TXP07 - Tax Amount:

  • Payment Type Code 01101, enter the amount for State Withholding Taxes.
  • Payment Type Code 01102, enter the amount for Lane County Transit Taxes followed by the terminator \ (backslash). 
  • For Tax Payment Codes 01103, 20001, 20002, 20201, 20202, 04701-04704, 04901, 04902, 07301, 07303, 07401, and 07402, not used.

TXP08 - Amount Type:
Contains the amount type code for the third amount field. 
  • Payment Type Code 01101, enter an S.
  • For Tax Payment Type Codes 01102, 01113, 20001, 20002, 20201, 20202, 04701-04704, 04901, 04902, 07301, 07303, 07401, 07402, not used.

TXP09 - Tax Amount:
Contains the third dollar amount. The two right most digits of this element indicate cents by using an implied decimal point. The decimal point is not transmitted. For example the amount $2,400.00 would appear as 240000. This number will always be positive. If no tax is due, enter 0 (zero).

  • For Tax Payment Type Codes 01102, 01113, 20001, 2002, 20201, 20202, 04701-04704, 04901, 04902, 07301, 07303, 07401, and 07403, not used.

TXP10 - Taxpayer Verification: Oregon does not use this element.
