Model Development Code for Small Cities

If you have questions about the Model Code or options for using it in your community you can contact your DLCD regional representative or our Code Assistance planner:

Laura Buhl
Note: Edition 3.1 (November 2015, below) includes minor edits and clean up, but almost no substantive changes to the Edition 3.0 (2012). With the exception of corrections, references to state law have not been updated from Edition 3.0. While authors have tried to address applicable state land use requirements (as of April 2012), city officials should consult legal counsel when amending regulations.

Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Module: This module is embedded in a guide for local governments interested in learning more about TDM. The guide includes background information about TDM, a step-by-step approach for implementing a TDM plan program, and model code language.
