Librarian’s Guide to Homelessness Academy by Ryan Dowd


Librarian’s Guide to Homelessness Academy is available to all staff from Oregon libraries (academic, public, tribal, school); to staff from Oregon county law libraries; and to Oregon library board members and Oregon library volunteers.

To access the online academy, you will need to create an account with Niche Academy in one of two ways:

  1. If you have your own email address through the library where you work, you may be able to create your own account immediately by performing these steps:
    • Go here to create an account
    • Click on “Create an account”
    • Fill out the form and tick the “I’m not a robot” check box
    • Click on the green “Create My Account” button

If while creating an account you see the following message:

You do not have access to this academy.
To gain access, please talk with administrator.

go here to register; a confirmation email from info@nicheacademy.com will be sent within 2-3 business days (hopefully sooner but these registrations will be handled manually). The email will include a temporary password and a link directly to the tutorial.

If you do not 
receive a confirmation email within 3 business days, contact: Darci Hanning (darci.hanning@state.or.us or 503-378-2527).
