International Partners

Each year ODA international trade managers help connect Oregon food and agriculture business with information and potential customers in markets outside of the US. Click here for a list of International Market Opportunities.

We collaborate with industry partners to identify and resolve trade issues. The Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) works with appropriate state, federal, and international partners to remove restrictions that impede the movement and sale of Oregon food and agricultural products.

We maintain close working relationships with the following:

  • USDA Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS)
  • Western US Agricultural Trade Association (WUSATA)
  • Market Access Program (MAP) grant program funded by the USDA
  • Business Oregon
  • Statewide export development and investment initiatives
  • Oregon regional economic development organizations
  • Food Innovation Center

Farm to School

Our Farm to School Program works to connect local farmers, packers, and food processors with school cafeterias in preschools, elementary and secondary schools, and colleges. This enables more Oregon agricultural products to be served in the lunch line and helps connect youth to food production through school gardens, field trips to farms and ranches, and grower visits to the classroom.

Oregon Food & Beverage Makers Roadmap

Are you thinking about starting a food or beverage business? The idea may seem daunting, however there are numerous resources available for new food and beverage companies. Although not all food and beverage journeys are the same, this map is a good place to get started.

Visit the Oregon Food and Beverage Roadmap.

Business Development

Our Business Development Program works to retain, expand, and recruit agricultural and food businesses.

Services include:

  • Transportation advocacy
  • Technical assistance with state and federal grant programs
  • One-on-one business and industry consultations
