ODOT's Information Systems Branch is the IT organizational unit of the Central Services Division of ODOT, which is governed by the Oregon Transportation Commission. The Oregon Transportation Commission is appointed by the governor.  ODOT Org Chart

Enterprise Technology

Transportation Application Development (TAD) 

The Transportation Application Development (TAD) section of ODOT is responsible for providing a broad range of IT services and solutions. Our customers include the employees of Central Services, Highway, Transportation Development, Transportation Safety, Public Transit, Rail, Communications, and the Director's Office. This equates to approximately 3000 customers in a very complex business environment that crosses multiple business lines.​

DMV Application Development (DMVAD)

The DMV application Development section is responsible for governance, planning, design, construction and maintenance and operations of Information Technology solutions for the DMV Division and DMV’s business partners. The customers are the employees of the DMV Division in a very complex business environment. In addition, DMV Application Development collaborates with external-to-ODOT agencies including Oregon State Police, City of Salem, Departments of Justice, Administrative Services, Revenue, and Human Resources. Support is also provided for other state DMVs, the Federal Department of Transportation and public/private business customers. DMV interfaces with multiple jurisdictions including Federal Law Enforcement Agencies, the Department of Homeland Security, the National Security Agency, Social Security Administration, Cities, Counties and other State agencies by providing information systems that directly benefit public safety for Oregon’s citizens and the Oregon economy.​

Motor Carrier Services Application Development (MCAD)
MCAD develops, enhances, maintains, supports computer applications, and project management oversight on Information Systems projects on behalf of our business partners. Motor Carrier Transportation Division (MCTD) is one of our business partners. MCTD programs include commercial vehicle registration, commercial vehicle, driver safety, over-dimension permits, size and weight enforcement and highway use tax collection. The Financial Services Branch is another business partner, which provides various financial services.​
