Repeal of 741-520-0010

The ODOT Rail Division is repealing the rule that adotped federal hazardous materials regulations because its provisions are now incorporated into newly revised 741-510-0015. This rulemaking action eliminates the duplication.

Oregon Railroad Hazardous Materials Transportation Rules

ODOT's Rail Division worked with its rulemaking advisory comittee to draft amendments to Division 510 rules relating to the transportation of hazardous materials by rail. This rulemaking modernizes existing rules, establishes the roles and responsibilities for communications and notifications of hazardous materials transport by rail, incident response, and aligns Oregon's rules with federal regulations.
