Environmental Construction Inspector Certification

This course is part of the Oregon Department of Transportation's strategy to improve statewide consistency in carrying out Oregon's highway construction program.

What does this course cover?

This Environmental Construction Inspector Certification course covers the inspection of erosion and sediment control, in-water-work, and hazardous materials. It also reviews the protection of cultural resources, aquatic wildlife, and terrestrial wildlife.

The goal of the Environmental Construction Inspector Certification course is to provide inspectors with practical knowledge and standard industry practices for conducting inspections. Inspectors will gain an understanding of their responsibilities to verify compliance with project requirements as well as mandates set forth by ODOT or the federal government, or both.

How long is the certification valid?

This certification is valid for five years.
