Description
DMV offers several veteran and military service-related license plates. Some of these plates are sponsored by groups (identified in the fee descriptions below). Any additional fees associated with these plates are due at the original issuance of registration and at each renewal period. These fees pay for the processing and issuance of the plates, with the remainder of the proceeds going to the sponsoring group.

Group plates are not available in custom (vanity or personalized) configurations. Each group may have its own qualifications and restrictions for use of their license plate. To learn more, contact the sponsoring group.

Note About Fees
Your total registration fees depend upon many factors. The fees listed below only represent the additional fees required for the veteran plates themselves and do not include all of the applicable registration fees. For more information on vehicle registration and the associated fees, see our registration page, registration renewal page and/or vehicle fees page.

Applying for a New Veteran Group
If your group is interested in applying for a new type of Veteran group plate, please read and complete the Veteran Group Plate Application (Form 735-7069) or call (503) 945-5130.
