82nd Avenue Construction

Current construction and paving projects on 82nd Avenue are shown below. Click on a project to visit the project page.

82nd Avenue of Roses Implementation Plan (Planning Project)

We led a transportation planning effort to create a list of feasible projects to improve safety, mobility, and access for people using 82nd Avenue (in the 7 mile segment between NE Killingsworth Street and SE Johnson Creek Boulevard). These projects could be feasibly funded and constructed within 10 years; however, no funds have been set aside at this time.

Sidewalk Changes

ODOT is making it easier for pedestrians to get around on 82nd Avenue by removing old driveways and replacing them with regular sidewalks. This means fewer tripping hazards, as well as less confusion for drivers about which driveway to use. Construction takes place in 2018.

Signal Upgrades

We are investing in signal repairs along SE 82nd Avenue (OR 213) at the intersections at SE Foster Road, SE Woodstock Boulevard and SE Flavel Street. Construction takes place in 2018.

SE Lindy Street to SE King Road

The portion of SE 82nd Avenue between Lindy Street and the Mount Scott Creek Bridge is an important transportation route that serves the Clackamas Regional Center, an area heavily used by commuters and shoppers. The roadway needs to be repaved and also lacks sidewalks and sidewalk ramps at several major intersections. Construction takes place in 2018.

Other Project on OR 213 (Cascade Highway South)

Safety Improvements at South Union Mills
We are constructing a project to improve safety on Oregon 213 (also known as Cascade Highway South) by leveling out the crest of the hill to increase drivers' ability to see oncoming and turning cars at South Union Mills.

Highway Repairs in Mulino

Pavement shifted at the site of an ancient landslide that reactivated on Oregon 213 – Cascade Highway South – Near South Eldorado Road in Mulino. Repairs to address the landslide are complete. Repairs to the pavement are planned for summer or fall 2018.
