The Medicaid EHR Incentive Program is designed to support your clinic by providing payments that assist you in installing or updating your EHR as well as achieve meaningful use of your system.

EligibilityEligible providers (or Eligible Professionals, EPs), include Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Naturopaths and Dentists. Physician Assistants (PA) who provide services in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or rural health clinic (RHC) that is led by a PA are also considered to be Eligible Professionals, as are Pediatric Optometrists (those who mostly serve children). Other eligibility criteria include Medicaid, or in some cases needy individual patient, volume thresholds and meeting meaningful use or adoption of certified EHR technology.
Incentive Amount
In Oregon, an EP can receive up to $63,750 over the course of six years. You must initiate participation no later than 2016 and participate for six years to receive the full amount.
