Army Guard Blackhawk sent to Mt. Washington to rescue female climber off Mt. Washington
At approximately 8 p.m. this evening one UH-60 Blackhawk left the Army Aviation Flight Facility in Salem, Ore. enroute to the east face of Mt. Washington at the request of Linn County Officials. One female climber is reported to have a broken femur and possible head concussion. The Blackhawk will stop at HooDoo to pick up a ground crew enroute to the location. Anticipated arrival time at HooDoo is 8:30 p.m.
The helicopter is piloted by Chief Warrant Officer Earl Poole, Chief Warrant Officer Sean Lazier; flight medic, Spec. Jermony Cohran and Staff Sgt. Frayne Fowler with Crew Chief Sgt. Tony Trenz.
