Army National Guard launches helicopter to aid in search for missing man
At the request of Polk County officials, the Oregon Army National Guard launched one OH-58 Kiowa helicopter to assist in the search for a 57 year old male, believed to be hypoglycemic.
He has apparently been missing since yesterday and with the dip in temperatures overnight the decision was made to send out additional search capabilities. He is believed to be lost in a Christmas Tree Farm and the utilization of a helicopter was deemed to be the best search option at this time.
