1042nd Medical Company, Oregon Army National Guard to hold formal demobilization ceremony
For the 33 members of the 1042nd Medical Company (Air Ambulance) of the Oregon Army National Guard, Monday, March 6, 2006 at 3:30 p.m. will mark the end of their latest overseas mobilization. This group of men and women will be honored for the completion of another successful mobilization at the Army Aviation Support Facility, 1921 Turner Road SE, Salem, Ore.
Family, friends and members of the media are encourage to attend this ceremony.
This unit flew several hundred medevac missions during their six month rotation in Afghanistan. Other missions included mass casualties (involving more than 3 that were injured at one time), point of injury pickups, IED strikes and patient transfers.
