Oregon Army National Guard to assist in rescue of climber on Mt Hood
At the request of Oregon Emergency Management and Clackamas County Sheriffs office, the Oregon Army National Guard will be launching one Blackhawk Helicopter to make a mountain extraction of one climber who has suffered a head injury on Mt. Hood. He is one of two climbers who had been on the mountain. The second climber is making his way down the mountain. The Blackhawk helicopter from the Oregon Army National Guard, based in Salem, Ore. is expected to launch in the next 30 minutes.
