Oregon Army National Guard launches UH-60 Blackhawk to assist with injured climber on Mt. Hood
At the request of Clackamas County and Oregon Emergency Management, one UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter with full crew to include flight medics has been dispatched to Mt. Hood. Initial contact with the incident commander will be made at Timberline.

The female climber is located at approximately the 10,000 foot level. The Blackhawk crew should be at the location in approximately 30 minutes.

The point of contact for this mission is Clackamas County Sheriff Deputy, Dennis Kauffman.

This aircraft and crew from C Company, 7-158 Aviation and is scheduled to mobilize on January 29, 2009, then travel to Ft. Sills, OK for premobilization training prior to their mobilization to Iraq.
