Oregon National Guard 4th of July Flyovers
SALEM, Ore. - The Oregon Air National Guard is scheduled to conduct Independence Day flyovers at various locations throughout Oregon , California and Southern Washington.
F-15 Eagle Fighter jets from the 142nd Fighter Wing based in Portland, and the 173rd Fighter Wing in Klamath Falls, are scheduled to conduct flyovers at the following locations and approximate times Monday, July 4th.
142nd Fighter Wing:
11:00 a.m. 4th of July Parade, Ridgefield, Wash.     
11:03 a.m. Camas Independence Day Celebration, Camas, Wash. 
11:15 a.m. Patriotic Celebration, Neskowin, Ore.
11:43 a.m. Down Town Celebration, Sunnyside, Wash.
11:48 a.m. Boardman Thunder 4th of July Celebration, Boardman, Ore.    
12:08 p.m. Oak Hills Homeowners Association 4th of July Celebration, Beaverton, Ore.     
12:09 p.m. CWN Annual 4th of July Festival, Beaverton, Ore.
173rd Fighter Wing:
10:00 a.m. 4th of July Celebration, Ashland, Ore.
10:15 a.m. Lake of the Woods, near Klamath Falls, Ore.
10:30 a.m. Independence Day Ceremony, Dorris, Calif.
11:00 a.m. 4th of July Parade, Creswell, Ore.
11:30 a.m. Independence Day Ceremony, Gold Beach, Ore.
5:00 p.m. Independence Day Ceremony, Klamath Falls, Ore.
Other events throughout the state are also scheduled to have flyovers from outside organizations. These flyovers listed above are strictly from the Oregon Air National Guard.
All flyovers will be approximately 1,000 feet above ground level and airspeed of approximately 350 mph.  Flights could be canceled or times changed due to inclement weather or operational contingencies.
The Oregon Air National Guard has been an integral part of the nation's air defense since 1941.  The 142nd Fighter Wing guards the Pacific Northwest skies form Northern California to the Canadian border, on 24-hour alert as part of the North American Air Defense System. The 173rd Fighter Wing is the United States' premier and only F-15C fighter pilot training facility in the nation.
