Oregon Army National Guard UAV platoon to demobilize in Pendleton ceremony
Salem, Ore. - The Oregon Army National Guard is scheduled to hold a demobilization ceremony for Soldiers with Detachment 1, Company B, Special Troops Battalion, 41 Infantry Brigade Combat Team.
The ceremony is scheduled to be held at the Pendleton Army Aviation Facility, Sat. Feb. 11 at 9 a.m. The facility is located at 2110 NW 56TH Drive, Pendleton, Ore., 97801.
Chief Justice Paul De Muniz, Pendleton Mayor Phillip Houk and Maj. Gen. Raymond F. Rees, Adjutant General, Oregon are scheduled to attend the ceremony.
The Citizen-Soldiers of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle platoon provided aerial reconnaissance support to ground force commanders in Iraq. They were the last Oregon Army National Guard to support Operation New Dawn.
Family, friends, military supporters and media are invited to attend the event.
