Have your pocket response plan up to date and review your complete plan if you have one.   Oregon Heritage MentorCorps can help you prepare for emergencies with advice and training. All nonprofit and government archives, libraries and museums may access this free service.

  • Chinese shrine in Salem reveals long history

    The City of Salem conducted archaeological research to uncover a decades hidden shrine in the Salem Pioneer Cemetery. The discovery highlights the significant influence of Chinese in Salem's history. The city held a traditional memorial ceremony at the shrine this past spring.

Researching Historically Marginalized Communities
The latest Heritage Bulletin explores the challenges and opportunities when researching historically marginalized communities. As heritage organizations work to include previously untold stories of their community history, one barrier is access to resources and documentation of those stories. This bulletin offers guidance in this type of research.
