Rome, Oregon is located in Malheur County. Rome is approximately 12 miles northeast of Burns Junction. Rome State Airport was originally built by the US Army Air Forces, but was turned over for local government use. It is approximately 23 miles southwest of Rome. The Airport is currently owned and operated by the ODAV. The Airport helps to provide accessibility to a remote region of the state.
Runway 3/21 provides visual approaches and measures 6,000 feet in length by 150 feet in width. The Airport accommodates an estimated 100 general aviation operations annually. There are no aircraft based at the Airport.
