Success Story Highlight: Katt Green | Redefining Photography
Katt learned new skills and continued pursuing photography with the help of OCB
With support from Oregon’s Commission for the Blind (OCB), Katt learned essential skills like white cane travel, public transit navigation and daily living techniques, all while continuing to pursue photography.
Using adaptive camera technology to continue their photography, Katt has returned to college and is thriving as a student, parent and artist.
In Katt’s words:
“The tools, training, technology and unwavering belief OCB offered me have done far more than prepare me to succeed in school or the workforce—they’ve restored my identity, my sense of purpose and my ability to dream again. Their impact on my journey has been profound and deeply personal, and I truly wouldn’t be where I am today without them. I’m forever grateful.”
Katt’s journey reminds us that the right resources provide more than skills, they restore confidence, creativity and the power to start again.
