Filing instructions
Contractors working on qualifying public works projects with a total project cost of more than $100,000 must file a $30,000 public works bond with the Construction Contractors Board (CCB). The bond must be filed before work starts.
- Licensed CCB contractors: You must sign the bond supplied by your bonding agent. Once signed, submit the bond directly to the CCB by mail or in person.
- Contractors not required to be CCB licensed: You must sign the bond supplied by your bonding agent. Once signed, submit the bond along with the completed Non-Construction Company Filing Statutory Public Works Bond with CCB form to the CCB by mail or in person.

What is this bond used for?
This bond will be used solely in the event of a prevailing wage claim filed with the Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI).
Will this bond replace my CCB license bond?
No. This bond is separate and is required in addition to any other bond a contractor or subcontractor is required to obtain.

Contact your insurance agent, current bonding company or look in the yellow pages for bonding companies.
If I'm not a CCB licensed contractor do I still need this bond?
Yes. If you are planning to contract or subcontract for a public works project you are required to file the publics work bond with the CCB. You must also provide the information requested in the form Non-Construction Company Filing Statutory Public Works Bond with CCB.

Where can I get the bond form?
Your bonding company may download the bond form from the Bureau of Labor and Industries website. The bond form must be filled out, signed and sealed by the bonding company.
