The Position and Personnel Data Base (PPDB), along with various shadow systems currently providing functionality, will be replaced by a comprehensive Human Resource Information System (HRIS). In 2017, the "Workday" software as a service was identified as Oregon state government's HRIS solution. It aims to meet the business needs of users by delivering comprehensive functionality, valuable reporting, increased efficiency, and improved risk management, all while remaining relevant with a robust self-service function.
