Gaining real work experience

Learn what the LEAP program can do for you

Leaping into a promising future

The Department of Consumer and Business Services has created the LEAP Internship Program. We encourage students 18 and older who are enrolled in school at least half time to apply. The program gives interns a chance to get paid to learn and gain experience at Oregon’s largest business regulatory and consumer protection agency.

We based the program on the agency’s mission to protect and serve Oregon’s consumers and workers while supporting a positive business climate. Interns will get to work in different DCBS divisions while receiving hands-on experience and learning essential skills. The 9-week program will be about 30 hours a week.

Interns in the program will build working relationships with DCBS hiring managers. As program graduates, they will be able to show that they possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to be successful in future permanent positions at DCBS.
