The Environmental Quality Commission adopted rules to enhance the data collection of Oregon’s greenhouse gas emissions. The adopted rules incorporate existing reporting and emissions accounting protocols into rule and improve the specificity of how emissions data are calculated, reported and verified. These improvements will allow the program to better support and keep pace with the evolving climate policy discussions occurring in Oregon.
There are 4 primary facets of this rulemaking. The adopted rules:

Advisory committee meetings are open to the public. The public may attend the meeting, but the committee has discretion whether to allow the public to participate in the meeting. The public will be able to comment on the proposed rule changes during the public notice and comment period later in the rulemaking. DEQ publishes meeting notices on Calendar web page.
