The commissioners will take action on the proposed draft minutes from the Nov. 15-16, 2018, regular and Dec. 4, 2018, special EQC meetings. 

DEQ, with co-presenters from the Oregon Department of Forestry and Oregon Health Authority, will present updates to the Oregon Smoke Management Plan for commission consideration and action.

DEQ will present proposed rule updates for the agency's Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program.

DEQ will present program information and need of a proposed fee increase in spring 2019 for the agency's Hazardous Waste Program.

Working lunch and executive session
The commission will hold an executive session over a working lunch from approximately noon to 1:15 p.m. This executive session is held under the authority of ORS 192.660(2)(h) and (i).

At 1:15 p.m. the commission will open a 45-minute public comment opportunity. People may comment in-person or by toll-free telephone conference line. People are asked to limit all comments to three minutes or less, and all times are subject to change.

Director Whitman will present written and verbal updates on agency activitiees and other state and federal items of interest for the commissioners.

DEQ will present an update on the agency's Integrated Toxics Reduction Strategy, first developed in 2012.

​The commission is scheduled to recess at approximately 5:45 p.m. until 9 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 25, 2019 Following adjournment, commissioners and DEQ staff may attend an informal, self-pay social dinner. No commission business will be conducted at dinner.

DEQ will present on the agency's strategies for mercury reductions in various Water Quality Division programs. This item is a continuation of information and discussion at the November 2018 EQC regular meeting.

DEQ will present proposed temporary rule updates for the agency's Composting Program.

Item K, Informational item: Calico Resources Grassy Mountain Mine Project
DEQ and DOGAMI will co-present an informational item on a proposed gold and silver mine in eastern Oregon.

DEQ will present updates and information about the 2019 Oregon Legislative Session, agency budget processes and other agency, state and federal budget and legislative information relevant to the commission.

Item N, Informational item: Commissioner reports​
Commissioners will provide verbal updates on their recent activities of interest to the commission, including any work in their liaison capacities with other agencies and boards.
