Cleaner Air Oregon

DEQ conducted a prioritization process for evaluating existing permitted facilities for entry into the Cleaner Air Oregon risk assessment process. The agencies followed a protocol established during the Cleaner Air Oregon rulemaking process to select facilities to review in the first year.

DEQ used both quantitative and qualitative screening factors, such as preliminary reports on the volume of materials used by each facility and the facility’s proximity to people and vulnerable populations, as well as qualitative factors such as data completeness and accuracy.
The following three documents provide an overview of the prioritization process and results.
