2021 Training for Third Party Verifiers

This page provides access to: recorded training materials, ways to get your questions answered and qualified verifier exams.

All applicants must take both Course 1 and Course 2 and pass the associated exams to become qualified to perform verification activities in Oregon. All other courses are optional, and applicants are pre-qualified on the basis of their accreditations and experience. To determine your eligibility to seek qualification as a verifier or lead verifier for a specific sector in Oregon, please refer to the Accreditation Table.

Course 1: Introduction

Course 2: Stationary Sources​

Course 3: Electricity Suppliers

Course 4: Fuel Suppliers

Course 5: Natural Gas Suppliers

Course 6: Natural Gas Systems

Course 7: Process Emissions from Subparts H, N, Q and V

Course 8: Oregon-Specific Process Emissions from Subparts G, I, AA and foam-blowing

Exams

Every applicant will be required to take and pass the Course 1 and Course 2 exams. Eligible applicants may take additional trainings and exams for Courses 3 through 7.

The exams will be administered through Adobe Sign and will be a combination of true or false, multiple choice, short- and long-answer questions. A score of 70% or better is required to pass; if the applicant scores below 70%, one re-test opportunity will be available. 

The test is open book and applicants may use any information from the training recordings, training slides, course handouts, Questions and Answer sessions or Frequently asked Questions to answer the exam questions. All exams will be available Oct. 18 and must be submitted to DEQ no later than 5 p.m. PT on Oct. 25, 2021.
