What is SIG 2?

SIG 2 is a statewide collaboration of Office of Developmental Disability Services (ODDS) staff and other stakeholders from throughout the Oregon developmental disabilities community. ODDS and community stakeholders partner in focused efforts to build a sustainable and high quality system of supports for persons experiencing intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families throughout their lifespan.

The SIG was originally named for the Staley Implementation Group. But with the Staley lawsuit settlement implemented, the group has been repurposed to build services and resources that would ensure long-term fiscal sustainability and service quality. SIG now stands for Sustainability and Innovation Group 2….or SIG 2.

Our Vision and Purpose
Our vision is that families, children and adults experiencing Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) are fully engaged and involved in community life.  Our purpose is to create self-directed, innovative and sustainable systems of supports for children, families and adults experiencing intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout their life span.  To achieve this purpose, SIG 2 members developed work groups to focus on specific goals.
