Welcome to May's edition of the UI Modernization Project Update. Here are a few things we've been working on the past month.... first: thank youOur most sincere thank you to each of you who participated in the evaluation process. A significant number of people committed a substantial amount of time and effort to this process. We appreciate every one of you who balanced your usual workload while contributing your expertise, experience, creative ideas and commitment toward building the very best solution possible to serve our customers well. Thank you.
next step, notice of intent to awardAll of the scoring is done and we hope to make an announcement soon about which of the two final vendors was selected by issuing a "Notice of Intent to Award" to. In our pattern of measuring twice to cut once, it's important that we plan carefully for the next step before we move forward. (Learn more about the Notice of Intent to Award in the sidebar).
and then, contract negotiationsIf the vendor accepts the intent to award, we begin negotiating the contract -- the last step before signing a contract. The negotiations team will develop the statement of work (also called a SOW) and will work with the vendor's contract negotiation team to come to agreement on the details of the contract, including what their work will include, the timeline, and how we'll assess along the way. | Salena De La Cruz-Forsythe has accepted a rotation on the program team as the Organizational Change Management Analyst. Welcome Salena! what we mean when we say...NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD means a written notice that the evaluation phase is complete. It also names the vendor who is being considered for the award. The vendor then has the opportunity to accept the intent to award, and enter the contract negotiation phase. We are committed to continuous learning, including improving how we communicate with you.
