UI Solution updateAs some of you may have heard, a protest was received from a competing vendor during the seven day protest period that follows the release of the notice of intent to award. As part of the resolution, we asked DAS to revoke the notice of intent to award so that we can complete virtual site visits with other states who have worked with the vendors. A more complete understanding of how the vendors perform is important in determining which one is right for Oregon. Revoking the notice of intent to award puts us back into the vendor evaluation phase of the process, and we are confident the process will move us towards getting to the right outcome….a modernized UI solution for Oregon. We are aware that this will further delay progress of the UI Modernization Project, but we believe it’s critical to get every step of the process right, and glean as much information as we can. Support for the changes aheadOn September 1st, Deloitte began work as the program’s Organizational Change Management (OCM) vendor. They held two kickoff meetings with agency leaders, UI managers, and frontline staff who may be impacted by the upcoming UI Modernization Project. Deloitte’s work with the UI Modernization Project is to create a strategy that helps us facilitate the “people side” of the changes, rather than the technical or process changes that will occur. (This contract is different from the UI solution RFP.) If you work in a business area that intersects the tax phase of the project, you may be invited to participate in focus group meetings with Deloitte. The purpose of these groups is to gather your experiences to develop strategies to support you during the UI project. If you have any questions about the focus group or anything else related to change management, you can email our Change Management team at Employment.Modernization@oregon.gov. Process Map updatesOur business team is working with UI program staff to ensure that all of the process changes that have occurred in the past several months are documented and considered when finalizing the UI Solution business requirements and negotiating the contract with the solution vendor. |
We are committed to continuous learning, including improving how we communicate with you. Please share comments and suggestions with our team or visit our EDweb page here. |
