What can a donation through the Charitable Fund Drive do?

Donations made through the Fund Drive can support any of 750+ nonprofits, funding their overall work in our communities. These examples of donations cover only a few nonprofits' direct service program work. Contact a participating nonprofit or visit their website to learn more about their work and how your dollars are used in the community.

  • $2 per month to United Way of the Columbia Gorge funds 8 weeks’ worth of nutritious, easy-to-prepare foods sent home in a child’s backpack every Friday, providing food over the weekend when there might be no food at home.
  • $2 per month to United Way of Deschutes County helps leverage an additional $75 in rental assistance, making housing more affordable for low-income families.
  • $3.50 per month to United Way of Umatilla and Morrow Counties provides four hours of budgeting and money management assistance to a person at risk of losing their housing, utilities and other necessities.
  • $4 per month donated to Local Independent Charities can vaccinate, de-worm, microchip, and spay/neuter one cat or dog at the animal shelter in Albany.
  • $4 per month donated to United Way of Lane County provides two weeks of a warm, safe place to live for a homeless teen
  • $5 per month to EarthShare Oregon will guide 10 children through a 150-acre nature sanctuary to learn about the animals and plants that call our natural world home.
  • $5 per month to Community Health Charities funds one day for a child with diabetes to attend camp.
  • $5 per month donated to Habitat for Humanity buys a sturdy front door for a Habitat home.
  • $8 per month donated to Oregon Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence provides two weeks of shelter for a woman escaping domestic violence.
  • $10 per month to the Regional Arts and Culture Council's Arts Impact Fund provides four low-income individuals with materials for a 10-week creative writing workshop – including journals, pens, workshop handouts, and bus tickets.
  • $11 per month to United Way of the Columbia-Willamette provides 10 hours of anti-violence education in middle and high schools.
  • $20 per month to Children’s Trust Fund of Oregon supports therapeutic services for two children at risk for experiencing abuse or neglect.
  • $35 donation to the Black United Fund allows as many as five high school students to "drop-in" and receive after school assistance with college application completion; providing a resource to students and families that can break generational barriers to success.
