Salem, OR—Oregon Secretary of State Bev Clarno today announced that Andrea Chiapella will be joining her team as the Legislative Director for the Office of the Secretary of State.

Chiapella is currently a senior policy analyst for the Oregon Senate Republican Office. Prior to that, she worked as a chief of staff to former State Representative Katie Eyre and the legislative assistant to former State Representative Jason Conger. Chiapella is a native Oregonian and graduate of Willamette University with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and a minor in Asian studies.

“I’m delighted that we will have someone with Andrea’s experience and leadership abilities managing our legislative agenda," said Secretary Clarno. "Andrea has a track record in both the House and the Senate, which is a powerful combination.

"She will bring a strategic approach to our longterm policy agenda. Our office and the state will benefit from having Andrea, a veteran policy advisor, managing our legislative agenda.”

Chiapella will join the office on April 29.
