Salem, OR—Members of Governor Kate Brown's staff and state agency leaders who manage wildfires, conflagrations, and disaster response will provide an informational briefing for media on interagency wildfire response on June 3 at 1 p.m. The briefing is intended to give an overview of the upcoming wildfire season, and serves as an opportunity for reporters who will be covering wildfires to understand Oregon’s coordinated fire suppression system from the state and local perspective.
The Governor's staff will be joined by representatives from the Oregon Department of Forestry, Office of the State Fire Marshal, Office of Emergency Management, and Department of Environmental Quality.
