Portland, OR—The Oregon Environmental Quality Commission
will meet Thursday and Friday, September 17 and 18,
for its next regular meeting. The meeting will be held via teleconference: web and phone.
Agenda items include:
• Oregon's State of the Environment annual update
• Rulemaking: Drug Take-Back Program
• Rulemaking: Air Contaminant Discharge Permit Program
• Informational item: Rules Advisory Committee process, Office of Greenhouse Gas Programs
• Public Forum (Friday, Sept. 18)

About the commission: The Oregon Environmental Quality Commission is a five-member panel appointed by the governor of Oregon for four-year terms to serve as the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality's policy and rulemaking board. In addition to adopting rules, the commission also establishes policies, issues orders, judges appeals of fines or other DEQ actions and appoints the DEQ director.
