Portland, OR—Governor Kate Brown today toured the PDX Airport Vaccine Clinic with representatives from Oregon Health & Science University, the Port of Portland, and the Red Cross. The Governor thanked the clinic staff and volunteers for their incredible work vaccinating thousands of Oregonians. She also met frontline airport workers who were vaccinated as part of a partnership between local labor organizations, the Port of Portland, and OHSU.

“It was great to see firsthand the impressive work OHSU is doing in partnership with the Port of Portland and the Red Cross to operate this mass vaccination site,” said Governor Brown. “It is a great example of how we are quickly and efficiently reaching many Oregonians with a vaccine. But we’re also working to thoughtfully and creatively reach underserved Oregonians where they are, through mobile clinics, pop-up sites and creative partnerships like we saw today with SEIU Local 49 and airport workers."

Joining Governor Brown at the vaccine clinic were OHSU President Dr. Danny Jacobs, Dr. Donn Spight, Red Cross Cascades Region CEO Dale Kunce, Port of Portland Executive Director Curtis Robinhold, and clinic staff and volunteers.
