PSAT/NMSQT®

Purpose

The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®) is a rigorous, national assessment that measures the critical reading, mathematics, and writing skills your students will need for higher education and careers after high school. 

 

  • June 28: Order by this date to ensure delivery of Student Guides by September and availability of fee waivers
  • August 20: Deadline for receipt of completed SSD accommodations requests
  • September 19: U.S. schools and districts to order, increase, or decrease PSAT/NMSQT test materials
  • September 19: Deadline for ordering nonstandard test formats at www.collegeboard.org/school
  • October 16: Wednesday test date (preferred test date)
  • October 19: Saturday test date
  • October 30: Alternate Wednesday test date   
  • Mid-January: Deadline to send completed fee-waiver rosters
